Advertisement likings of TV viewers  under survey

A recent survey conducted by YouGov.co.uk on advertisement links revealed that UK TV viewers are not fond of TV ads for drugs, payday loans, gambling, smoking, cosmetic surgery and advertisements of injury lawyer broadcasted within the commercial breaks.

In order to make this survey, the UK website needed approximately 1700 samples of television which were rated about their preferences on TV advertisements.

Drugs, gambling and tobacco advertisements are well-known to be highly regulated. However, most people consider that these should be completely banned in the United Kingdom.

Dr. Eamonn Butler from Adam Smith Institute (ASI) stated that advertisement is not a problem because they only make people aware of the options they have.

This way, people should only take into consideration the information in the TV ads that they need.
